Prof. Ing. Andrea LAZZERI

Prof. Ing. Andrea Lazzeri is co-owner of Planet Bioplastics and he is its Legal Representative and CEO.

Full Professor of Materials Science and Engineering. He is specialized in deformation and fracture processes in composite materials, toughening with rubber particles or micro-and nano-particles in polymer composites. He is also an expert in the production of ceramic matrix composites by means of CVI processes. He is author of over 175 publications on international journals and 4 patents (4944 Citations, h-index 36). He lectures Materials Science and Technology (c/o the Naval Academy in Livorno), Mechanical Behaviour of Materials, Composite Materials Science and Technology and Fundamental of Polymer Processing. He coordinated three European projects on Materials Science. Currently a fourth European project under his coordination is in the negotiation stage. He is head of MSc degree course in Materials and Nanotechnology.


Prof. Patrizia CINELLI

Prof. Patrizia Cinelli is a co-owner of Planet Bioplastics and she is its Research and Development Manager.

She is associate professor at Pisa University where she lectures Applied Chemistry and Materials Technology for the Master Degree of Construction Engineering and Architecture. She also teaches Degradable and Sustainable Polymers for Master Degree students in Materials and Nanotechnology. PhD in Chemistry at the University of Pisa partly performed at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Peoria, IL, USA. 20 years of experience in Materials Science, polymer processing and characterization, biodegradation and life cycle assessment. She is co-author of over 107 papers in peer-reviewed journal, 9 book chapters, and 8 patents on innovative materials. She has worked in over 15 EC project from FP5, FP6, FP7 and Horizon 2020, directly following writing, scientific activity, and reporting.


Dott. Doriana MORGANTI

Dott. Doriana Morganti is co-owner of Planet Bioplastics and she is the Marketing and Sales Manager.

She graduated in industrial chemistry at Milan University in 1986 and has relevant experiences: she was trained on plastic processing and characterization at Brunel University (UK) for 8 months, worked in Versalis in applied research for 2 years, in Shell Research laboratories (CRCSL Belgium) for 3 years. She had several experiences in sales, among them 10 years in charge of new business and sales for a Japanese trading company, Sojitz Europe, which distributes in Europe engineering polymers and food packaging specialties. Recently she has been in charge of a compostable compound homologation and development for an Italian distributor.


Massimiliano, Alessandro e Attilio Giorgio CALDARA

They are co-owners of Planet Bioplastics and they are the Production Managers.

They own the company Caldara Plast (http://www.caldara.it), which carries out recycling of plastic compounds. They have many years of experience in polymer processing and plastic marketing
