Research activity related to the production of composite materials with polymeric matrices by single, and double screw extrusion, and processing by either casting compression mould, injection mould or blow mould. Experience in polymer characterisation techniques such as thermo-gravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic thermal analysis, strain to break and other mechanical analysis, gas permeability, contact angle, and main chemical characterisations such as IR spectroscopy. Biodegradation tests (Modified Sturm Tests, Soil, Compost Burial Tests), compost tests and phyto toxicity tests.
